SanFranCipota Merch in a Store?! Handmade in California - The Best Gift Shop in SF
You read that right! From a dream to a reality!
In December 2021 one of my dreams came true! I had a goal to one day see my merchandise in a store, at the mall, in San Francisco, but I had no idea that day had arrived, until I was there stocking the racks with tees, stickers and tote bags!
Kim Pinto, a talented latina creator born and raised in California opened the doors of Handmade in California in June 2021 at Stonestown Galleria. She opened her shop to the public to discover local artists and vendors and fall in love with their handmade creations and designs. Her shop is full of cute gifts from earrings, stickers, crochet toys, fandom merch, paintings, apparel, and even tons of Kim’s own handsewn facemasks, bags, and more!
So when I found out I would be part of such a beautiful shop - I’ll declare it.. THE BEST GIFT SHOP in SF - and that I’d represent Salvadorians in San Francisco with my merch, I was more than excited! There were definitely lots of twirls and happy dances.

This dream come true could not be any more meant to be! I kid you not, I have shopped at Stonestown Galleria mall my whole life! I have been in that exact store time and time again long before it was ever Handmade in California. I was even there when it was the Sesame Street store in the time before time! Just check out these blast from the past photos! Peep the “Stonestown Galleria” crown on my head.
It’s just so surreal! I’m so honored and proud to be part of this beautiful multicultural collaborative shop! Every time I visit I’m blown away by all the cute and detailed items you can purchase there. I usually end up buying another facemask with a new nerdy print or a headband for my wild hair days - which is most days.. hence that stonestown crown. The vendors and Kim are always restocking with brand new items, so you’ll always find something new, something that’ll remind you of someone, and something you just gotta get for yourself.
